All employees of the public reception offices will be dismissed from today and replaced with dedicated personnel who can solve the problem.  This was announced today, June 16, during a video conference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on the effectiveness of the ongoing reforms, the progress of work in the regions, and finding solutions to issues concerning the population.

“The system of public reception offices has turned into a ‘dispatcher’ that distributes appeals to state organizations instead of listening to the people's grievances and resolving their issues,” says the president.

In particular, 55 percent of the appeals sent to the virtual reception and public reception offices last year were not resolved positively. Due to the appeals not being resolved, there has been an increase in posts on social networks. The most common appeals on social media pertain to law enforcement agencies and courts, local governments, education, and environmental sectors. Nearly a thousand appeals requested a personal reception by the President.

“Especially, when have the mayors analyzed the increasing complaints against officials in Tashkent city and Bukhara? If ministers and mayors do not solve the appeals, whom should people turn to with their grievances?”

“We must not forget that behind each appeal lies a human fate, their pain, and hope!” says Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Taking into account the shortcomings in the system, it was noted that all employees of the public reception offices would be dismissed from today and replaced with dedicated personnel who can solve the issue.

From now on, the leadership of the public reception offices will be taken over by the regional and district governors themselves. Governors will start their day here, by listening to the worries and grievances of the population.

“The governors must understand that problems arising today cannot be postponed to the next day. They will resolve the appeals right here without sending them to another agency,” says the President.

For this, the powers of the district governors will be expanded. Additional resources will also be provided for solving issues.
