Turkey's Cappadocia region is famous for its colorful balloons. Yesterday, in the province of Aksaray, the crash of two hot air balloons resulted in one person killed and 12 people injured.

According to media reports, one of the balloons' 37-year-old pilots was killed: he was trapped under the basket during landing. It is said that the passengers were from Indonesia.

Police, rescuers, and firefighters immediately arrived at the scene. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital. According to the information provided, they received minor injuries and are currently being treated.

Official reports state that the hot air balloons began their flight in the famous Ihlara Valley at 5 in the morning. It is speculated that a sudden and strong change in wind around 7 in the morning caused both of these unfortunate incidents.

The height from which the hot air balloons fell is currently unknown.
