This pass has been reopened for the transportation of large volumes of cargo to the ports of Pakistan by heavy transport vehicles.
According to the Afghan side, from June 17, 2025, transportation of large freight vehicles to Pakistan and Pakistani ports through the "Salang" pass will be resumed. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.
It has been announced that the repair work being carried out in the pass will continue without affecting the cargo transportation.
