Yesterday, on June 17, videos emerged on social media showing a group of girls in the Jizzakh region dressed in bridal attire holding papers saying “Need a man.” The regional Department of Family and Women's Affairs has commented on the situation.

It turns out that in the area of the “Khalqobod” neighborhood citizens' assembly in Jizzakh city, opposite the Old City farmers market, 8 girls dressed in bridal gowns were holding signs that read “Need a man” and walking the streets. This was organized by the salon owner Sh.A. and a social media user Sh.E. with the aim of advertising the salon, it was revealed they intended to create an advertising video.

The head of the Department of Family and Women's Affairs immediately stopped the event and lectured the girls and the beauty salon management on adhering to social behavior norms and respecting national values.

“At this point, it is important to note that public attention to such situations is essential, even seemingly minor incidents like these are contrary to the nation’s dignity and national values,” the report states.
