Today, on July 21, the "Forum on the Development of IT and Digital Education" took place in the capital. During the event, pressing issues in the IT sector were discussed, and the results of a large-scale study conducted under the "Improving the IT and Digital Education Landscape in Uzbekistan" project were announced.
The survey results presented at the forum are noteworthy: in a study involving over 4,000 citizens nationwide, 97% of respondents considered digital skills a key factor in work productivity. Additionally, 96% expressed interest in the IT sector.
Participants assessed their digital literacy as follows:
— Excellent — 17%
— Good — 44%
— Satisfactory — 32%
Furthermore, 57% reported using video communication tools weekly, while 78% stated they utilize e-government services monthly.
Regarding online shopping, the results were as follows: 52.4% shop 2-3 times a month, 25% shop 2-3 times a year, and 22% do not shop online at all.
The forum also featured the presentation of the "Atlas of Future Professions," prepared in collaboration between the IT Education Association and the Swiss Development Agency (SDC). It highlights 45 promising IT professions based on labor market analysis.
Experts noted that this atlas serves as a guiding tool for youth, parents, and educational institutions.
Another significant announcement at the forum was the introduction of the DigiSurvey.uz platform, which integrates free IT education resources, career guidance, and research data.
