News has spread on social networks about a man who was stabbed to death by five people at a market in Shurchi district of Surkhandarya region. The regional prosecutor's office has commented on the incident.
According to reports, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 97 of the Criminal Code (intentional homicide) regarding the incident that occurred in Shurchi district. As part of the criminal case, the preventive measure of detention has been applied against two individuals.
It is reported that investigative actions are currently ongoing, and the investigation of the criminal case has been placed under the supervision of the regional prosecutor's office.
According to a video circulating on social networks, the incident occurred on July 16 of this year. The victim's wife stated that the murder was committed by the owners of a nearby eatery operating in the same market. According to her, these eatery owners had previously threatened, "We will kill both your husband and you." On that day, one of the eatery owners attacked the victim with a knife and skewers. When the wife tried to help her husband, family members of the neighboring eatery owners also inflicted injuries on her. The woman has been left widowed with four children.
