After the Ombudsman intervened in the psychiatric hospital, 1.67 billion soums were allocated.

Following the ombudsman's recommendation, a significant amount was allocated from the state budget to improve conditions in the Republic's reinforced surveillance hospital.

During the monitoring conducted in 2024 by the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Oliy Majlis at the Republican intensified surveillance psychiatric hospital in Tashkent, a number of shortcomings were identified.

Following this, an official submission was made to the Ministry of Health, requesting measures to improve conditions at the institution.

In response to the submission, the Ministry developed a special monitoring plan for the hospital and promised to eliminate the shortcomings within specified deadlines.

Additionally, over 1 billion 670 million soums were allocated from the state budget for the needs of the hospital.

Recently, a follow-up monitoring was conducted at the hospital by the Ombudsman's representative in Tashkent.

It was noted that some shortcomings had been addressed, but work on others was still ongoing. The Ombudsman's office stated that it would continue to closely monitor the results of the monitoring.
