Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This was reported by Zamon.uz.
The proposal for a meeting between the leaders of Russia and Ukraine was previously put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump. The American side is currently working on organizing it.
"If all goes well, I hope the next meeting will be between Presidents Putin, Trump, and Zelenskyy. We hope to finalize an agreement there. Putin's statement, 'Good, I will meet with Zelenskyy,' is a big event," says the U.S. Secretary of State.
While commenting on the possibility of a meeting between Zelenskyy and Putin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov clearly stated that it is not likely to happen very soon.
