In Uzbekistan, the salary of civilian employees working in defense authorities will be increased in two stages. This was announced by the Minister of Defense Shukhrat Kholmukhammedov.
According to him, from July 1 of this year, the salaries of these category employees will be increased by 20 percent. Also, from January 1, 2027, another 50 percent will be added to their salaries.
This information was announced following the results of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's review of a presentation dedicated to certain issues in the defense sector.
At the same time, it has been established that the monetary compensation for rental housing for military personnel serving in the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand will also be increased by 25 percent.
During the presentation, the head of state outlined priority tasks to further increase the combat readiness and training of troops, and to widely implement advanced experiences in the military field.
Also, relevant instructions were given to those responsible for improving the military education system, training soldiers in professions and preparing them for higher education institutions, and creating decent conditions for them.
