Starting from May 1, new restrictions will come into force in Uzbekistan regarding persons indebted for alimony payments. According to the presidential decree, these measures are aimed at increasing the efficiency of the alimony collection system.
Accordingly, debtors will be deprived of the opportunity to carry out certain major transactions, as well as to use certain types of financial-credit and state services, until the debt is fully repaid.
The Prosecutor General's Office has been tasked with submitting a relevant draft resolution on implementing this procedure within two months to the Cabinet of Ministers.
