An explosion and subsequent multiple blasts occurred at the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery following a Ukrainian drone strike overnight.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the plant is one of the largest fuel suppliers in the south of Russia, and the attack was aimed at complicating fuel supplies for Russian troops.
According to Reuters, the refinery processes about 100,000 barrels of oil per day and primarily exports it.
The General Staff also reported that a Russian drone warehouse in Donetsk was hit.
