The Agency for Combating Corruption announced that a state procurement worth 6.8 billion soums was carried out in violation of the requirements of legal documents (link).
It was noted that a number of legal violations were committed during the state procurement for "delivery, installation, and commissioning of body cameras" worth a total of 6.8 billion soums, ordered by Uzbekistan Airports JSC.
It was emphasized that it was confirmed that the proposals were not fully and impartially evaluated based on the requirements reflected in the documents for the participants in the tender, that mutually affiliated persons (i.e., mutual connection and interest) participated, and that a number of errors were made during the evaluation process.
Based on the Agency's submission regarding the noted violation, the procurement commission's decisions on determining the winner were annulled, and the illegal state procurement was stopped. The documents collected during the investigation and analysis were sent to law enforcement agencies for legal action.
