In China, 19-year-old student Xiao Dong suffered a stroke as a result of spending long periods of time looking down at his smartphone. This was reported by "Oddity Central".

It is reported that the young man living in Fujian province would constantly look at his phone both while working at a restaurant and during his breaks.

The constant pressure on his neck resulted in a blood clot forming in a blood vessel, which affected his brain function. As a result, one day the young man woke up completely paralyzed.

Doctors promptly performed surgery. Xiao Dong is currently undergoing rehabilitation, and specialists are hopeful that he will gradually recover.

This incident has once again forced medical specialists to warn that looking at a phone in an incorrect position for extended periods can lead to serious health problems.
