A criminal group engaged in importing and selling psychoactive substances from Kyrgyzstan was exposed in the Andijan region. The State Security Service reported this.
It was reported that 6 citizens, born between 1984–1991 and residing in the Qo‘rg‘ontepa district, conspired to purchase 2 kilograms of "hashish" substance from a citizen of Kyrgyzstan for 15 thousand US dollars. One of them transferred an initial payment of $1,950 to the drug courier.
Subsequently, the Kyrgyz citizen secretly smuggled the "hashish" across the state border and hid it in a secret location in the city of Khanabad.
One of the criminals from Qo‘rg‘ontepa was apprehended by SSS officers while transporting the substance in his car on the Khanabad–Qo‘rg‘ontepa route. Prompt operational measures continued, and the remaining 5 members of the group were also arrested.
According to the expert conclusion, the net weight of the substance was 1 kilogram and 954 grams.
A criminal case has now been initiated against these individuals under Part 2 of Article 246 (smuggling of narcotic drugs) and Part 5 of Articles 25, 273 (attempted trafficking of narcotic substances) of the Criminal Code. The court has applied "imprisonment" as a preventive measure against them.
