On September 5, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump.

The practical aspects of further strengthening the strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and the U.S. and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed in detail.

At the beginning of the conversation, the U.S. President highly appreciated and supported the irreversible reforms being implemented in recent years in New Uzbekistan to modernize the economy and increase the well-being of the population.

In turn, the leader of our state sincerely congratulated President Donald Trump on the tremendous results of the domestic and foreign policy pursued by the U.S. administration. The contribution and efforts of the American side to the peaceful resolution of international and regional conflicts, ensuring global security and stability were particularly noted.

Special attention was paid to expanding multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

Issues of advancing business cooperation projects in priority sectors and fundamentally increasing the volume of trade deals were considered.

It is worth noting that in recent years, a steady growth in mutual trade indicators has been observed. In 2024, trade turnover increased by 15 percent.

The portfolio of promising cooperation projects covers civil aviation, critical mineral resources, the electrical industry, energy, agriculture, digital technologies, finance, innovations, education, and many other areas.

It was emphasized that this month, a number of bilateral meetings and negotiations will be held with the aim of establishing long-term and stable partnership relations with leading U.S. companies and organizations.

Furthermore, effective cooperation is being carried out in the field of security, primarily in the fight against terrorism, extremism, and illegal migration.

Cultural and humanitarian exchanges are expanding. Branches of leading U.S. higher education institutions are successfully operating in Tashkent.

It was noted with satisfaction that the Uzbek national football team will participate for the first time in the upcoming World Cup to be held in the U.S. The U.S. leader sincerely wished our football team good luck.

During the telephone conversation, the heads of state also exchanged views on pressing international issues, including deepening regional cooperation between the Central Asian countries and the U.S. in the "C5+1" format.

The leader of our state invited President Donald Trump to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan at a time convenient for him.

An agreement was reached to continue high-level dialogue to advance projects and programs of practical cooperation.

The telephone conversation between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the U.S. President, Donald Trump, took place in an open, constructive, and friendly spirit.
