It has been revealed that on the bus route from Tashkent to Khatirchi, nearly 710 million soums in excess ticket fees were collected from citizens during the period from 2022 to March 2025.
This was reported by the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.
During the inspections, illegal practices in the ticket sales process were noted, including charging for services not rendered and coercing passengers into mandatory additional services. In total, this situation affected 74,419 passengers through their tickets.
The Committee has issued an instruction to "Hunarmand" LLC to return the funds overcharged from consumers.
For reference, in 2024–2025, nearly 1,050 appeals were received by the Committee regarding the transport sector. As a result, approximately 1.4 billion soums were recalculated for the benefit of consumers.
