Entrepreneurs who want to open kindergartens in 80 districts will be granted significant privileges. This was discussed at a videoconference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the implementation of reforms in the preschool and school education sector and upcoming sustainable tasks.
It was noted that it is necessary to effectively utilize this mechanism to increase the number of kindergarten places.
In all districts of Kashkadarya, the number of kindergartens and schools has tripled in two years with the private sector and foreign partners. Regional governors were instructed to study this experience.
In general, it was established that kindergarten coverage in each district must be no less than 80 percent. For this purpose, regional and district governors were tasked with finding vacant land, putting it up for auction, and, together with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, identifying which schools and kindergartens have available space to develop a plan for building kindergartens.
Officials were instructed to adopt a three-year program for establishing kindergartens on vacant land through public-private partnership or investment, provide subsidies to new private kindergartens, and implement a procedure for partially covering the salaries of educators.
