President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev commented on the proposal for parliamentary reform at the international forum titled "Peace and Future through Law."
According to him, the main goal of the reform is to strengthen the institutional foundation of the political system.
The President emphasized the importance of maintaining the "strong president – influential parliament – accountable government" model and adopting decisions through a referendum.
He also noted that turning Kazakhstan into a technologically advanced state is a primary goal.
