On September 20, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev traveled to New York City to participate in the events of the 80th anniversary session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Our head of state was welcomed at John F. Kennedy International Airport by the U.S. President's Special Representative for Global Partnerships, Paolo Zampolli, the Chairman of the America-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce, Carolyn Lamm, and other official figures.
As previously reported, the President of Uzbekistan will deliver a speech at the general debates of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly and will also hold talks with the leaders of a number of foreign countries, international organizations, and financial institutions.
Separate meetings with the leaders of major U.S. corporations and participation in a roundtable discussion with representatives of leading companies are also planned.
