Abbas emphasized that the expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank is undermining the peace process and called on the international community to recognize the Palestinian state.

The President also condemned the attack carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023, stressing that these actions "do not represent the Palestinian people's struggle for liberation."
