Today, October 15, Syria's interim President Ahmad al-Shara is traveling to Moscow on an official visit. According to a report from "Syria TV," he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit.

The meeting is expected to discuss the continuation of activities at the naval base in Tartus and the air base in Hmeimim. Furthermore, al-Shara may officially request that Russia refer former President Bashar al-Assad, who is accused of war crimes in Syria, to an international court.

On September 12, Ahmad al-Shara emphasized that he is striving to preserve Syria's historical relations with Russia, while also seeking to improve relations with the US and Western countries.
