According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a citizen filed a complaint regarding a conflict with an acquaintance and reported a case of misappropriation of revenues in the documents of a private company.
Following the incident, an inspector promised to resolve the results of the expert examination in his own favor, demanded a bribe of $1000, and was subsequently detained in Khiva.
The Khorezm Prosecutor's Office initiated a criminal case against the employee in accordance with the Criminal Code, and "imprisonment" was applied as a preventive measure.
