The sale of unqualified medicines and medical products was prevented in Fergana region.
A rapid operation was carried out in cooperation with the Kokand city department of the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office and the customs authorities.
It was discovered that M.A., who had been illegally engaged in medicines, had stored a total of 2,411 boxes of 11 types of medicines and medical items, produced abroad and lacking quality confirmation documents, with a total value of 163.6 million soums, in houses in the "A.Ikromov" and "Saodat" MFY areas for the purpose of sale; these items were seized as material evidence.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this fact under Article 186-3 of the Criminal Code (manufacture, preparation, acquisition, storage, transportation, or transfer for the purpose of sale of substandard or falsified medicines or medical items, or the sale of medicines or medical items outside of pharmacies and their branches), and investigative actions are being carried out.
