Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov stated in an interview with journalists, "We have not received any signal from Tokayev. He has not sent any message to Putin."
As is known, the President of Kazakhstan visited Moscow on November 11 and held a two-hour informal conversation with Putin, and official negotiations continued on November 12.
According to the trip's results, the two heads of state signed a declaration on elevating relations between Kazakhstan and Russia to the level of "strategic partnership and alliance."
Tokayev called this document "a step initiating a new era of trust and cooperation." Before this trip, he had met with Donald Trump in the USA and witnessed investment agreements worth $17 billion between the two countries.
For this reason, Tokayev's unexpected visit to Moscow was interpreted by some analysts as a geopolitical "message delivery" after the meeting with Trump. However, the Kremlin denied these claims.
