It was found that some catering establishments are charging an additional 10–20 percent "service fee" on top of the food price and demanding a deposit from customers in advance. The Competition Committee reported this based on consumer appeals.

According to the committee, a consumer cannot be forced to make a mandatory payment for a service not indicated on the menu. The price of the food, the terms of service, and all additional payments must be clearly indicated to the customer in advance.

The Competition Committee called on restaurants and cafes to comply with current laws and recommended that customers be aware of their rights.
