Uzbekistan has officially ratified the Global Convention (Paris, 2019) by the law signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
As a result, higher education diplomas issued in Uzbekistan will be recognized in 38 countries.
According to the Convention, participating states are obliged to fairly recognize higher education qualifications obtained in other countries, based on their national legislation.
Recognition may only be refused in cases where significant differences exist between the educational standards.
Furthermore, Uzbekistan has become the first country in Central Asia to join the Global Convention.
