Igor Sergeev, the forward of Tashkent's "Pakhtakor" club, was named the "Best Footballer of the Year" for the past season. This was reported by the Professional Football League.
The 32-year-old forward scored 20 goals in the Super League, becoming the season's top scorer and reclaiming the title of local top scorer after an 8-year hiatus. With his team, Sergeev won the Uzbekistan Cup and secured silver medals in the Super League.
