Illegal migrants who voluntarily leave the country by applying for self-deportation will be paid a sum of 3000 US dollars. This measure will be in effect until the end of 2025. This was reported by the publication Zamon.uz reported.
According to the minister, this decision was implemented between the Christmas and New Year holidays to reduce the costs of detaining undocumented immigrants in the country at the expense of taxpayers' funds and to expedite their voluntary departure. It is noted that the new incentive amount has been tripled compared to the previous indicator.
Previously, the US Department of Homeland Security had called on illegal immigrants to voluntarily leave the country's territory. Similarly, reports have circulated about intensified control measures against individuals who have violated migration rules in some cities.
According to information, this initiative is aimed at reducing the flow of illegal migration and cutting administrative costs.
