Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed on Friday that he will meet with US President Donald Trump on Sunday, December 28th in Florida, despite Trump previously saying there was no point in meeting until a peace deal for Ukraine was concluded.

Earlier, Axios had reported that the meeting was scheduled for December 28th and would take place at Trump's personal residence.

According to Zelensky, the 20-point plan being worked on by US and Ukrainian representatives is "90% ready".

"Our task is to ensure everything is 100% ready. This is not easy, and no one is saying it will be 100% immediately. However, we must get closer to the necessary result with every meeting, every conversation," said the Ukrainian leader.

Trump himself spoke cautiously about the status of the deal with Zelensky.

"I have nothing until I confirm it. So, we'll see what he comes up with," US President Trump said in an exclusive comment to Politico.

The Ukrainian president told Ukrainian media on Friday that the main topics of discussion with the American leader on Sunday would be security guarantees for Ukraine and an economic agreement.

"There are still fundamental changes there, although there will be several agreements," quotes RBC-Ukraine Zelensky's words, clarifying that preliminary drafts of several documents have been prepared, but there are some issues that need to be discussed at the presidential level.
