"We are well, steadfast, hopeful, and always in prayer," — is stated in the letter of the Venezuelan leader held in a US interrogation isolation facility. 

This is Maduro's first address announced after a long hiatus.

He expressed gratitude to his people for the courage and solidarity shown and called for strengthening peace and unity in the country. 

We recall that Maduro and his spouse have been held under arrest in America since January of this year. They are accused of "narco-terrorism" and will soon face trial.
