A blogger in Kyrgyzstan's capital, Bishkek, was fined for distributing on social networks an image created by artificial intelligence that depicted him seemingly hugging the country's President, Sadyr Japarov. This was reported on December 28 by lawyer Sherdor Abdukaparov.

According to the report, the blogger, known by the pseudonym "Akuma," published images created with the help of neural networks. After this case was identified, the information was sent to the Bishkek City Department of Internal Affairs and the case was taken to court.

The Oktyabr District Court found the blogger guilty and fined him 5,500 soms (approximately 755,000 Uzbek soums). The lawyer assessed the court's decision as relatively humane, emphasizing that such images could be interpreted as defamation.
