The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke at the expanded meeting of the Security Council held on January 13, dedicated to issues of strengthening the country's military security and defense.
The head of state noted that the constant analysis of the regional and global situation and the consistent strengthening of the national army's capabilities are today's requirements. He emphasized that the army of Uzbekistan must always be ready to defend the people, and for this it must be rapid, high-tech, and adaptable to new combat conditions.
The meeting set the task of paying special attention to equipping the troops with artificial intelligence-based robotic complexes and unmanned systems, light military equipment, modern weapons and reconnaissance means.
Furthermore, the further development of the defense industry and the implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence solutions at sector enterprises were identified as a priority direction. Specialists were tasked with developing a set of measures to ensure the security of personal data and digital systems.
