An order was given to dismiss the head of the "Karshi Oil Base" for approaching the matter irresponsibly. This was reported on January 18 by the press secretary of "Uzbekneftegaz" JSC, Mumin Ibodov. According to him, the decision was made following the completion of investigations carried out in the Kashkadarya region.
As reported, the working group led by the Chairman of the Board of "Uzbekneftegaz" began the third day of investigations in the region precisely with an analysis of the activities of the "Karshi Oil Base". During the investigations, the situation at the base was sharply criticized, including clear tasks being given to those responsible for preventing theft through the digitalization of territories and processes.
During the inspections, it was found that the current state of the oil base is unsatisfactory. It was noted that a transparent and efficient system for the sale of oil products has not been established, and due to weak management and internal control mechanisms, a number of serious shortcomings have been allowed. As a result, the "Karshi Oil Base" ended 2025 with a financial loss.
Furthermore, cases of incorrect application of oil product density were identified, which was emphasized as harming consumer interests. According to company data, Bekzod Bobonazarov had been acting as the temporary director at this base. It should be recalled that earlier, the Chairman of the Board of "Uzbekneftegaz", Abdurashid Sanginov, had also dismissed the heads of the Termez, Jizzakh, Marokand, and Kuchlik oil bases.
