Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian condemned the actions of U.S. law enforcement agencies against employees of Chinese companies at a press conference held on February 2.
According to him, these individuals have recently been subjected to prolonged interrogations without basis, detained, and in some cases deported.
"China strongly disapproves of such actions," the diplomat said.
Lin Jian accused the U.S. of violating the legitimate rights of Chinese citizens and undermining the business environment between the two countries. He also called on Washington to immediately stop such practices, emphasizing that Beijing will continue to take all necessary measures to protect its citizens.
Earlier, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning stated that if the U.S. imposes a 25% tariff on cooperation with Iran, Beijing will firmly defend its interests.
