During rapid measures carried out by employees of the State Security Service and Internal Affairs bodies within the framework of combating illegal migration, a representative of two consulting firms operating in Namangan city was detained.

It is reported that in one of the cases, the head of a consulting firm was caught red-handed while demanding 10,000 US dollars, having already received 1,500 dollars in advance, after promising to send a local citizen to work in South Korea. In another case, an employee of another firm was detained while receiving 2,000 US dollars under the pretext of sending a citizen to work in Latvia.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 of the Criminal Code against the suspects in both cases, and investigative actions are being carried out. Citizens were urged not to fall for suspicious offers related to sending them to work abroad.
