A criminal group that deceived women in Tashkent city and attempted to send them to Turkey illegally has been exposed. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on this.
According to information, one woman born in 1997 and two men born in 1998 and 2003 had conspired in advance to plan sending women in difficult social situations abroad. They gained the trust of two women from Surkhandarya and Kashkadarya regions, promising to provide them with work in Turkey.
However, during the investigation it was determined that the suspects actually intended to subject the victims to sexual exploitation in Istanbul city in exchange for material gain.
On February 3 of this year, members of the group were apprehended with material evidence while formalizing documents to send the women abroad via the Tashkent–Istanbul flight.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident, and preliminary investigative actions are currently being carried out.
