According to NHK, the victory is significantly more than the 233 seats needed to form a government. The elections were held despite complex weather conditions, including heavy snowfall in some areas and transportation problems, and voters participated actively.

In his statement to journalists after the election, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of responsible and active fiscal policy, stating that he would carry out necessary investments while maintaining economic stability.

We remind you that on January 19, Takaichi explained the necessity to dissolve the lower house of parliament ahead of schedule and hold elections.
