During the conversations, the sincere empathy of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was conveyed.

The Minister first held talks with Muhammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, as well as Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Jarrah Al-Sabah, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Ayman Safadi, Abdulatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and Jeyhun Bayramov.

The parties discussed the situation in the Middle East and emphasized the importance of respecting state sovereignty and territorial integrity, non-use of force, and resolving conflicts through diplomatic means.

It was previously reported that 48 Uzbek citizens were stranded in Doha due to the closure of Qatar's airspace. The Embassy of Uzbekistan has temporarily accommodated them and is taking measures to repatriate them once flights resume.

The situation escalated sharply after strikes were carried out on Iranian territory by the US and Israel on February 28. It was later reported that Iran also launched retaliatory attacks. A number of states in the region closed their airspace and restricted air traffic.
