In an interview with Politico, Trump called the situation in Cuba "amazing" and said that after the conflict in the Middle East ends, the US could also turn its attention to that country. However, he did not provide details on what specific measures could be taken.

The statement came against the backdrop of a military operation against Iran launched by the US and Israel in late February. Israel stated that the aim of this operation was to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. The US, by threatening to strike Iran's military infrastructure, called on the Iranians to change their government.

Analysts believe that Cuba's mention as a potential geopolitical target is seen as a continuation of Trump's hardline policy towards Havana during his previous presidency. At that time, he reversed the "rapprochement" policy initiated during Barack Obama's era and increased pressure on Cuba.

Earlier, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham also said in an interview with Fox News that following the situation in Iran, the US's next focus could be on Cuba.
