In Uzbekistan, the number of enterprises in the healthcare sector has exceeded 14 thousand.

The number of enterprises and organizations operating in the healthcare and social services sector in Uzbekistan has exceeded 14,000. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee.

According to the report, as of May 1, 2026, a total of 14,732 enterprises and organizations are operating in this field in the country.

According to statistics, this figure has increased by nearly 2,400 compared to the same period last year. This indicates a growing number of private and state organizations in the healthcare and social services sector.

By region, the highest number of healthcare and social service organizations was recorded in Tashkent city, amounting to 2,439.

The next positions are held by Fergana region — with 1,590 enterprises and organizations, and Samarkand region — with 1,546.

Additionally, 1,264 entities operate in Andijan region, 1,132 in Tashkent region, 1,107 in Kashkadarya region, and 1,028 in Bukhara region.

At the bottom of the ranking are Syrdarya region with 323, Jizzakh region with 463, and Navoi region with 533 enterprises and organizations.

According to experts, the increase in the number of entities in the healthcare sector may serve to expand the scope of medical and social services for the population.
