According to the new decision, the possibility to sell defense products such as fighter jets, missiles, and military vessels abroad will now be opened. This was announced by the government headed by Sanae Takaichi.
It is noted that arms exports will be limited only to states that have undertaken the obligation to use them in accordance with the UN system.
According to information from Japanese mass media, at least 17 states could have the right to purchase weapons manufactured in Japan. If additional bilateral agreements are signed, it is not unlikely that this list will expand further.
