According to local mass media, based on a decree signed by the leader of the "Taliban" government, Muhammad Hassan Akhund, the consent of local mosque imams and community activists will now be required for housing construction.

It is noted that this decision was made to regulate situations related to the housing shortage and the sharp rise in rental prices in Kabul and other regions.

The "Taliban" describes this policy as a step towards helping the population obtain shelter more quickly and easily and regulating unauthorized construction.
