A criminal case has been initiated regarding construction works carried out in place of a children's playground and sports grounds in the Mirabad district of Tashkent city.
According to the district prosecutor's office, during the studies it was found that the territory that was on the balance of the "Mahalla" charitable public fund was later transferred to the disposal of "Al-Latif Hearts Tower" LLC. Permits for reconstruction and construction of additional buildings on this territory were formalized.
However, the residents of the "Lolazor" neighborhood opposed the construction of a new building in this location. Also, the investment agreement between the fund and the investor was canceled.
Nevertheless, in June 2026, a building on an area of 172 square meters on the fund's balance was demolished. The pre-investigation check found that this situation caused serious damage to state interests.
On July 27, a case was opened under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code against officials of "Al-Latif Hearts Tower" LLC and other persons regarding this situation.
Also, Asilbek Ikromov, who is indicated as the unofficial leader of the society, was detained in procedural order as a suspect.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing. Measures are being taken to give a legal assessment to the actions of responsible persons and to restore the children's playground.
Let us remind, Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed her reaction regarding this situation, noting that if violations are detected during inspections, uncompromising measures will be taken against those responsible.
