A ceremony was held at the Kuksaroy residence to award the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan with the highest state awards of the two countries.
At the ceremony, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was presented with the highest state award of the Republic of Uzbekistan — the Order of "Friendship of the Highest Degree".
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that this award is a high assessment of Ilham Aliyev's services in strengthening friendship, strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
In turn, the President of Azerbaijan expressed gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan and the people of Uzbekistan for the high recognition.
After that, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded the highest state award of Azerbaijan — the Order of "Heydar Aliyev". The award was presented by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that he accepts this order as a high assessment of the joint efforts to strengthen the eternal friendship, strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
The parties agreed to continue consistently developing fraternal relations and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
