On July 24 of the current year, a school student drowned in a canal in the Marhamat district of Andijon region .
It is reported that around 14:30 on the same day, an 11th-grade student from a school in the district went swimming with friends in the part of the Fergana canal that passes through Marhamat district. The young man drowned while entering the water.
"Search operations are being carried out by rescuers. Official organizations have not yet provided information regarding the situation," the report states.
