On April 16 of this year, a road accident involving Uzbek citizens occurred in the Dergachevsky district of the Saratov region of Russia. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan.

It is noted that the incident occurred at 01:10 on the Tambov-Penza-Saratov-Pristannoye-Yershov-Ozinki highway in the region. A road traffic accident involving citizens of Uzbekistan in a Lada Largus and a truck "Autogalantas" on a Volvo tractor, which was parked on the highway, was recorded.

As a result, one passenger, a citizen of Uzbekistan, K.F.Z., born in 1987, died at the scene. Five Uzbek citizens (the driver, born in 1968, as well as passengers - men born in 2005 and 1991, women born in 1980 and 2002) were hospitalized with various injuries.

The Saratov Regional Department of the State Auto Inspectorate revealed that a car caught fire after the collision.

"The situation is under the control of the Consulate General. Work has begun on returning the body of the deceased citizen to the homeland, and medical treatment is being provided to the victims," the report said.
