On April 14th of this year, a collision between two light vehicles in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation resulted in the death of two Uzbek citizens, and their 11-year-old son was hospitalized.

The child sustained minor injuries. After receiving medical attention and regaining health, the process of repatriating him to Uzbekistan and handing him over to close relatives was initiated.

However, the relatives who had temporarily taken guardianship of the child faced a problem with the lack of documents needed to take the child out of Russia.

In this process, with the participation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, consulates of the two countries and Children's Ombudsmen, the necessary documents were formalized, and the child was safely returned to Uzbekistan. The child was placed under the care of his mother's sister.
