Members of the US House of Representatives — Democrat Gregory Meeks and former Speaker Steny Hoyer introduced a new bill aimed at strengthening sanctions against Russia and supporting Ukraine. This was reported by zamon.uz.
According to the information, the bill envisages imposing severe sanctions on Russia, including finance, oil, mining industries, and official persons. At the same time, it is planned to strengthen export control and allocate resources for the security and reconstruction of Ukraine.
As Gregory Meeks emphasized, the United States must ensure that Ukraine has the opportunity to end the war through fair and reasonable negotiations.
If the Ukraine crisis is not resolved, these sanctions are planned to be further intensified.
