Alisher Abdusalomov was appointed as the new ambassador of Uzbekistan to South Korea. This was reported by "Dunyo AA" here.
It was reported that the new ambassador of Uzbekistan has arrived in the city of Seoul.
Before his appointment to Seoul, he had been leading the Secretariat of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis (Supreme Assembly).
Alisher Abdusalomov started his professional career at the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan (currently the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade), moving up from a leading specialist to the head of the main department.
In particular, he worked as an adviser on trade and economic issues at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan from 2013 to 2016, and held the same position in South Korea from 2018 to 2024.
"The new ambassador intends to continue the work of strengthening the bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and South Korea, with a focus on the economic, cultural, and diplomatic aspects,"- the report says.
For your information, Alisher Abdusalomov was appointed to replace Vitaliy Fen, who, with short breaks, had led the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul from 1995 to 2024.
