A fire broke out in a fireworks storage warehouse in the city of Esparto, located in Yolo County, California.
Several explosions occurred during the fire, and a large part of the buildings was damaged. This was reported by “Zamon.uz” here.
Preliminary information indicates that up to several hundred kilograms of fireworks exploded, and smoke rose up to 5 kilometers into the sky. After the strong explosion, several more explosions were reported inside the building.
Rescuers were unable to stop the fire within several hours. It is reported that the flames covered an area equivalent to 40 football fields. Aviation was involved in extinguishing the fire.
The local authorities announced an immediate evacuation of the nearby residential areas. No information has been provided yet on casualties, and the cause of the explosion is being investigated.
